Our department is revisiting its secondary employment general order.  My Chief is interested in how other agencies handle secondary employment.  Who handles assignment of officers to secondary jobs - does the agency, a third party vendor, or is each officer responsible for jobs?  Who has ultimate control over the officer when working a secondary job, the agency, the third party vendor, or the employing party?  How is secondary employment regulated?  Could you also provide a copy of your policy?  Thanks in advance.
