Reggie spent the first 30 years of his working life working for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (AFL-CIO) as Director of Research. In this capacity, he had responsibility for all research and planning activities of this major union. This included providing background and participating in major collective bargaining negotiations (Boeing, General Electric, etc.) as well as preparing background papers and testimony on key legislative issues for presentation to various congressional committees. After retiring in 1996, he began working for the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) as Manager of Labor and Other Member Segments. In this capacity he represented employee assistance professionals, including many such professionals working for federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. He was able to provide new, in-depth analyses of the association’s membership using the existing client database. He also designed the association’s first client needs assessment survey. He has both a bachelor and a masters degree as well as additional post-graduate work. In his spare time, he enjoys shooting, tennis and bridge.
